Tetris

About 11 hours ago, I had my Spanish oral final exam. My partner picked a topic and we had to discuss about it. What was the topic? It was about the children’s film: Muzzy. I didn’t really know what to talk about. If ever I talked about Muzzy with great interest, I must’ve been crazy. Anyway, I sort of did well: I stammered quite a bit (okay… a lot!) and hopefully got my senteces right.

Before the test itself, I prayed to God. I prayed that I woudn’t get the topic on the National Museum, Spanish art and culture, Philippine history…They aren’t bad topics. It’s just hard to express what you want to say in Spanish. What I really wanted was the one where we compared & contrasted the city & the province, or the one where we talk about our family, or the one where we talk about college life. I guess I didn’t ask God for the topics I wanted, just not to get the topics I hated. Well, I guess it’s good to give God some space to do his work and trust Him in whatever he chooses to do. I believe He knows what is best, after all, He is God.

Was it a fortunate thing that I got the topic on Muzzy? Well, I won’t find out until next week. Hopefully I did fine. But in the end, pass or fail, things will fall into place. I guess it’s just like tetris, we juggle the pieces that fall while we wait for the brick shape to bring it all together.
