Now this is what I call planned obsolescence! Just after I watched the guided tour of the iPod Touch, this happens o.o;; Well, with only 16 GB of storage, I'm not satisfied. Heck, I'm struggling with 20 GB on this one already! Well, at least I know I'm not the only one whining about the storage capacity. With the new iPod Touch has many great features but I'm really turned off with only either 8GB or 16 GB of storage. Right now, despite the lack of the newer features the iPod Classic (which has 80 GB and 160 GB versions) seems like the way to go. Either way, using the iPod Touch screen would probably get the screen all smudgy after some use between wipes. I think I'm beginning to sour grape. o.o;; Fortunately for me, I don't have to part with my 20 GB iPod just yet. A hard reset did the job and will still function. This cute little icon may haunt someday in the future until my the hard drive gets replaced or until the battery issue pops up. Hmm...the current split between iPod Touch and the iPod Classic (and possibly between the other iPods?) reminds me of something...Oh yeah! I think it starts with a 'V' and ends with an 'ista'. -- Fact: Although this is the only model iPod I ever owned (fourth generation, click wheel with monochrome display - released July 2004), this isn't actually my first! The first one was replaced by Apple for free (covered by warranty) when the hard drive completely failed.

Why does two business days take so long especially when counting from a Thursday? Gaaah~! Good thing this Monday isn't a holiday, right? Non-business days are good when you need a break but gets quite annoying when you have them working against you...

I just realized today that I have more than 30 accounts and service subscriptions spread across the internet. Hmm, is it actually possible to create an interface that would unify all these and act as a hub?  Possible features:
    • Have an overview of all accounts: A screen full of widgets (Hooray for info overload!)
    • Track how often each account has been used: This will help the user decide if that account should be disposed of
    • Possibly integrate feeds...but then, the user'll probably have another service to handle that so it's not important
    • List all/most (or at least the most popular) services on the internet
    • Social aspect
      • Rate services
      • View top services
      • View new services
      • View services in open/closed beta
      • Suggest services to friends
    • Possible interface between services...but not that important since other people has mostly done work on this already and a lot of services already have their APIs public.
If OpenID or something similar was implemented long ago, this would have been easier.

What use is database versioning system in Ruby on Rails if your team mates don't use them? o.o;; Argh! Now that I want to revert to an older version, it's hell! Using rake db:migrate VERSION=_ won't work properly unless I either use all the unedited files or all the new files ;_; Currently trying to it x.x

I subscribed to the Rhapsody Newsletter thinking I might get something out of it. When checking my mail, I noticed that I didn't really find their newsletters relevant or interesting to me. I clicked on the unsubscribe link in one of their newsletters, followed the on-screen instructions and thought I was already unsubscribed. A few weeks later, I still got their newsletters and so I decided to contact support. I got a reply saying that they unsubscribed me. After, I still got their newsletters and contacted them again. They said that I was no longer in their database. I thought since I was not in their database anymore, my e-mail address shouldn't be there anymore right? I mean, how can they send me newsletters if I'm not on the list. Unfortunately, this is not the case. I contacted them again and now my case has been escalated to their level-2 e-mail team. I hope I get real results this time. (I wonder how much time I've wasted on this...)
